AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bid Number
Each attendee will receive one bid number. Please remember to write your bid number on each Almost Live bid form and use your bid card as your paddle for the Live Auction.
Credit Cards
Please enter a credit card at the time of registration. The card on file will be used for all auction related transactions.
All Sales Final
The written or verbal bid at the Our Lady of Fatima auction constitutes a legal contract to buy the item. All purchases are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds. In case of a dispute, the decision of the Auction Chair will be final.
Conditions and Restrictions
To ensure that buyers and donors have a positive experience, please pay attention to all conditions, restrictions, and expiration dates on items and services. Many auction packages require the buyer to coordinate with several different donors. Taxes and gratuities on services are usually not included in the certificate. The amount that you pay over the fair market value of any item is usually tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please see your tax preparer or verify with the IRS to confirm. Printed invoices will show the amount paid over the fair-market value. Unless otherwise specified, certificates and services must be used before May 2, 2026.
Donations
All school families are required to participate in fundraising, including an annual family auction donation, per signed registration agreements. Families with students in grades Kindergarten through 8th are required to donate $300 or an item of equal or more value. Families with students in grades Preschool and/or Pre-K only are required to donate $150 or an item of equal or more value. Family donations, or communication to the Development Office regarding your donation, are due on January 31, 2025. After January 31, 2025, donations are considered late and will accrue an additional $25 per week.
Group Event Donations
The individual family donation amount will be calculated by the total event or party amount divided by the number of host families. This amount must be equal to or more than the required $300 family donation per school requirements. If the amount does not equal the required $300 family donation amount, the difference will be billed to each family. Donation tax receipts will reflect the calculated individual family amount.
OLF School Spirit Branded Donations
Donations made that include the OLF logo and/or are related to OLF school spirit apparel, accessories, and/or OLF branded merchandise, need to be approved by the Development Director prior to donation. Any and all OLF branded items must be approved before they are accepted as donations counted towards the required family donation amount. Previously purchased spirit wear items are not eligible and will not be accepted. The OLF school brand and logo are the property of Our Lady of Fatima Parish School.
Restaurant Certificates
Restaurant certificates do not include liquor, tax, or gratuities unless otherwise indicated. All hotel and resort reservations are based on availability unless the certificate specifies an exact date.
Travel Reservations
All travel reservations included in the auction tonight are subject to availability and certain restrictions and blackout dates may apply. Unless otherwise noted, travel must be completed by one year from the date of the auction.
No Refunds
No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for cancelled tickets or accommodations. Air travel will be provided by airlines as stated even though prices may vary from the stated value. Unless otherwise noted, upgrades, stopovers, standbys, and open returns are not permitted.
Catalog Items
Our Lady of Fatima School reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction. We have made every effort to catalog and describe all auction items correctly. No statements contained in this catalog or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be a warranty, representation or condition of the property.
Property As-Is
Property is sold as-is and Our Lady of Fatima School neither warrants nor represents, and shall be in no way responsible for the correctness of description, authenticity, authorship, provenance or condition of the property. Our Lady of Fatima School assumes no responsibility for tax purposes and no liability for the general use of any item.
Almost Live Rules
To bid on Almost Live auction items write your bid number on the form next to the amount you wish to bid. Bids must be opened and raised in the specified increments on the form. You need not offer the next available bid amount on the form; you can skip ahead to the amount you wish to bid. To guarantee your bid, write your assigned bid number in the Guaranteed Purchase box on the bid sheet. You may bid on the Almost Live items until each section is closed or until the Guaranteed Purchase price has been met. Bidders may not alter other bidders' written bids.
Check Out Procedure
Receipts will be sent via email the week following the auction. Items purchased during the online and live auctions will be available the week following the auction.
Event Volunteering & Sponsorships
When donating an auction item or event, the time to procure the item, plan or put on the event do not qualify as fundraising volunteer hours. Auction sponsorships do not count towards the required $300 family auction donation.
